How it's installed

Beautiful on top, engineered underneath.

  1. 1

Structural assessment. Tile is heavy, so we check the frame before specifying a tile roof. Older homes may need reinforcement.

  2. 2

NOA-approved underlayment. The underlayment is the real water barrier; the tile sheds rain and shields it from the sun.

  3. 3

Set to HVHZ rules. Tiles are foam- or mortar-set with hurricane clips where required, exactly per the approved system.

The good stuff

Why homeowners love tile

Timeless curb appeal

Tile is the historic South Florida roof and the first choice in Coral Gables, Miami Beach, and Cutler Bay.

Naturally cooler

Tile's thermal mass slows heat moving into the attic during long Florida summers.

Long service life

A properly installed tile system can last 50 years or more.

In neighborhoods where architecture matters as much as performance, tile is still the roof that looks like home.

A properly installed concrete or clay tile system with an NOA-approved underlayment can last 50 years or more. The underlayment beneath the tile usually determines when the roof needs attention.

Concrete tile weighs roughly 9 to 12 pounds per square foot, two to four times more than shingles. If you're switching to tile, we assess the frame first, and older homes may need reinforcement.

Yes. We replace cracked or slipped tiles with a matching profile, set correctly in foam or mortar, so the water channel stays intact.

Both are proven in South Florida. Concrete tile is the most common and cost-effective; clay offers rich, lasting color. We'll show you options that suit your home and HOA.
