Door Style Guide

Sliding Glass Impact Doors, indoor-outdoor living.

Wide panels of impact glass that glide open to the patio, pool, or lanai. The way South Florida was meant to be lived.

How it opens

Designed around how you live.

  1. 1

Fixed and sliding panels. Some panels stay put while others glide past them on rollers.

  2. 2

A floor track. The operating panel rides a track at the sill, sealed against water.

  3. 3

Locks as one. Closed and latched, the whole assembly performs as a single impact-rated unit.

The good stuff

Why homeowners love sliding glass doors

Walls of glass

Multi-panel systems create a wide, open view of the pool and yard from the whole room.

No swing space needed

Panels slide instead of swinging, so furniture can sit close and patios stay usable.

Built for the coast

Heavy-duty aluminum frames resist salt-air corrosion for decades, and laminated glass keeps shards bonded if struck.

Multi-panel sliding systems open onto patios, pools, and covered lanais. Replacing an older non-impact slider is one of the most noticeable upgrades a South Florida home can get: quieter, cooler, and storm-ready.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Still wondering about something? Call 954-251-0866 and talk to a real person.

Yes, it's one of our most common door projects. We measure the opening, remove the old unit, inspect the rough opening for rot or damage, and install a new NOA-approved impact slider with the manufacturer's specified anchoring and flashing.

Two-, three-, and four-panel configurations are common, and larger multi-panel systems are available. The size and layout you can use depend on the product's NOA ratings for your wind zone.

Laminated glass has a PVB interlayer that holds the glass together if it cracks, so the opening stays closed against wind and rain. A struck panel should be replaced afterward.

Most residential door installations are completed in 1 to 2 days once the permit is approved, which typically takes 5 to 15 business days.
