What a Free Haven Estimate Covers
A free Haven estimate is an on-site assessment performed by a licensed Florida general contractor — not a salesperson. We walk your specific roof, bathroom, kitchen, or window scope, measure dimensions, photograph existing conditions, and identify code-compliance issues a homeowner wouldn't see on their own (failed flashing details, NOA-expired tile, pre-2002 framing connectors, hidden water damage). You receive a written line-item proposal that lists every NOA-approved material by manufacturer and product number, the permit-pull plan for your municipality, the expected timeline, and the total fixed price. There's no obligation, no high-pressure sales, no charge — even on storm-damage assessments where we may also produce written documentation an insurance adjuster can use. Estimates take 45-60 minutes for a single-trade project and 2-3 hours for whole-home scopes.
Response Times
How Quickly Haven Responds
Phone calls placed during business hours (Monday-Friday 7 AM-6 PM, Saturday 8 AM-2 PM) are answered live by a Haven team member, not a third-party call center. Web form submissions and emails receive a response within 24 hours, typically the same business day. During hurricane season (June-November), after-hours storm-damage calls are routed to an on-call project manager — the goal is tarp installation, window boarding, or leak mitigation within 12-24 hours of landfall, before the longer-term repair is scoped. Estimate appointments are typically scheduled within 3-5 business days, faster during off-peak weeks. From signed proposal to permit pull is 5-10 business days. From permit issuance to crew on-site is another 1-2 weeks, depending on county inspection scheduling.
Languages
Bilingual Service in English & Spanish
Haven's office staff and field crews are fully bilingual in English and Spanish, reflecting South Florida's homeowner base — particularly across Miami-Dade and parts of Broward, where Spanish is the primary household language for a large share of homeowners. Estimate appointments, signed contracts, permit applications, change orders, and post-installation walk-throughs are all conducted in either language at the homeowner's preference. Our scheduling line answers in Spanish during business hours, and written proposals can be issued in either language. This isn't translation-as-a-service contracted out: project managers, crew leads, and call-center reps are South Florida natives running job sites in both languages every day. If a contractor's office can't communicate fluently in your preferred language, every conversation about scope, materials, and warranty becomes a translation problem you're paying for.
After You Reach Out
The Five Steps from Inquiry to Project Close
- Within 24 hours — A Haven scheduler calls or replies to confirm your project type, address, and a convenient appointment window.
- 3-5 business days later — A licensed project manager arrives at your home, walks the project, takes measurements and photos, and answers code or material questions on the spot.
- 2-3 business days after the visit— You receive a written line-item proposal with NOA-approved material specs, total project cost, payment schedule, expected start and finish dates, and a copy of Haven's lifetime workmanship warranty.
- 5-10 days after signing — Haven pulls the city or county permit and schedules an in-house crew. No subcontractors are involved at any stage.
- On the final day of work — The local building inspector signs off and a Haven supervisor walks the completed work with you before the project is closed out.
No-pressure guarantee. Haven does not run same-day-close sales scripts, financing-only quotes, or leave-behind discounts that expire at midnight. Estimates are honored for 30 days from the date of issue, and homeowners are free to compare bids without losing their place in our schedule.
