About Haven

Founder-Led, Licensed, and Locally Owned in South Florida

Haven Home Remodeling Group was founded by Tat Granata (former Partner & VP of Sales, FHIA Remodeling) and Aldo Dellamano (licensed Florida general contractor, 30+ years on the tools). We complete 1,200+ home remodeling projects per year — roofing, bathrooms, kitchens, impact windows and doors, and exterior coatings — all with our own in-house crews.

Our Heritage

A Safeguard Impact Company

Haven Home Remodeling Group is a DBA of Safeguard Impact Windows Doors & Roofing Inc, an established South Florida construction company with decades of experience in windows, doors, roofing, and impact-rated installation. Haven is our dedicated residential remodeling brand — bringing the same licensed crews, permit discipline, and code expertise that built Safeguard Impact's reputation directly to homeowners across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties.

Haven is a new brand, but the team, licenses, and accountability behind it are not. Every project runs under Safeguard Impact's Florida general contractor credentials — the same credentials that have been passing inspections across South Florida for years.

Our Story

Two Founders. Builder + Operator.

Haven was founded by two people with three decades each in South Florida home improvement and a shared belief that the industry had drifted in the wrong direction. Aldo Dellamano spent more than thirty years on the tools — tile setter, finish carpenter, and ultimately a four-license general contractor — watching larger contractors hand projects off to subcontractors and lose accountability in the process. Tat Granata spent two decades helping build FHIA Remodeling from a single South Florida shop into the platform that private equity rolled up under Renuity, eventually serving as Partner and Vice President of Sales through that scale-up.

Both watched the same trend. Local South Florida home improvement was getting consolidated by out-of-state private equity, and the licensed-contractor accountability that homeowners actually pay for was getting traded for spreadsheet margin. Haven is the version that stays independent, founder-led, and locally owned — Aldo on the construction side, Tat on the operating side, both with skin in the game.

That philosophy now powers more than 1,200 projects per year across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. Twenty in-house crews cover roofing, tile, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and finish carpentry — no subcontractors, no franchise tier, no warranty finger-pointing. Everything Haven does is on the record with the local building department.

Meet Aldo

Aldo Dellamano — Licensed General Contractor

Aldo holds Florida licenses across four trades: general contracting (CGC1525289), roofing (CCC1335157), plumbing (CFC1434398), and mechanical (CMC1251666). He personally reviews every estimate Haven produces and signs off on every final inspection. When a South Florida homeowner calls Haven, Aldo is the licensed contractor on the other end — not a salesperson, not a franchise operator.

Aldo is also the technical reviewer for every article, guide, and service page on this site. Content isn't outsourced to generic contractors in other states — it's written and reviewed by someone who has pulled more than 1,500 South Florida building permits in the last year alone. Read his full bio on the team page or learn more about Haven's editorial policy.

Meet Tat

Tat Granata — President & Co-Founder

Tat is one of the most experienced operators in South Florida home improvement. As Partner and Vice President of Sales at FHIA Remodeling, he led the sales organization through the company's scale-up — including its 2019 acquisition of Statewide Remodeling in Texas and its eventual rollup into Renuity, the private-equity-backed national home-improvement platform. He has been featured on the home-renovation TV series Ready Set Renovate with host Elizabeth Hart and across dozens of consumer-facing segments explaining HVHZ impact glass, hurricane-rated doors, and the financial case for permanent impact glazing over removable shutters.

Tat is the President, Co-Founder, and majority owner of Haven Home Remodeling Group — the operating partner who pairs Aldo's licensed contracting expertise with two decades of running a high-volume, code-heavy South Florida home-improvement business. What Makes Haven Different

Licensed, Local, and Locked In

Licensed & Insured

Florida-licensed general contractor (CGC1525289), roofing (CCC1335157), plumbing (CFC1434398), and mechanical (CMC1251666). Every project is fully permitted and inspected.

No Subcontractors

Haven runs 20 full-time in-house crews across roofing, tile, plumbing, and electrical trades. The team that shows up on day one is the team that finishes the job.

Local to South Florida

Serving Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. We know every permit office, inspection schedule, and municipal quirk from Homestead to Stuart.

Under 3% Callback Rate

97+ out of every 100 projects require zero warranty callbacks. We track this internally and publish it because accountability matters more than marketing claims.

Certifications & Approvals

Manufacturer & Code Credentials

Haven carries the top-tier installer credentials for every major material we use — from Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) approved roofing systems to Schluter waterproofing for bathroom remodels. These certifications are earned, not bought. They require documented project volume, passed inspections, and ongoing training:

  • Florida Building Code HVHZ Certified (Miami-Dade & Broward)
  • Miami-Dade NOA Approved Installer
  • GAF Master Elite Roofing Contractor
  • Owens Corning Platinum Preferred
  • Schluter Systems Certified Waterproofing
  • Energy Star Partner

The No-Subcontractors Rule

Why We Run Our Own Crews

Most South Florida contractors run a lean office and subcontract the actual work. That model is cheaper to operate but harder to control. When a subcontractor does a poor tile job or misses a waterproofing step, the original contractor has to argue with someone who's already moved on to the next job. The homeowner ends up caught in the middle.

Haven runs 20 full-time in-house crews on payroll. Our tile setters are Haven employees. Our roofers are Haven employees. Our plumbers are Haven employees. When something needs to be corrected, the same crew comes back the next morning and fixes it — no subcontractor back-and-forth, no warranty finger-pointing. It's the biggest reason our warranty callback rate is under 3% while the industry average sits closer to 12%.
