How it works

Designed around how you live.

  1. 1

Fixed glass. No sashes, hinges, or tracks, just the view.

  2. 2

Bigger panes. Picture windows can span wide openings, within the limits of each product's approval.

  3. 3

Mix and match. Flank it with operable windows when you want airflow too.

The good stuff

Why homeowners love picture windows

Light that fills the room

Large, unbroken glass brings the most daylight into living rooms, great rooms, and stairwells.

Views without interruption

No frames or rails crossing the glass: just your palms, pool, or water, framed like art.

Nothing to wear out

With no moving parts, there's nothing to crank, slide, or adjust, and fewer seals to maintain over time.

The room's best feature is usually what's outside it. A picture window simply gets out of the way.

Picture windows are often paired with casements and single-hungs to build composite window walls, a big fixed pane in the center for the view, with operable units on either side for fresh air.

Choosing

Picture window or sliding window?

Sliding Window

  • One sash slides open
  • Views plus ventilation
  • Track needs occasional cleaning

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Still wondering about something? Call 954-251-0866 and talk to a real person.

It depends on the product. Each Miami-Dade NOA lists the sizes and wind-pressure ratings a unit is approved for, and larger panes must meet higher loads. We match the opening to a product approved for your wall and wind zone.

Large glass can add solar heat. A low-E insulated glass unit reflects much of that heat while staying clear, and is our usual recommendation for sun-facing walls.

Yes. Arched, round-top, and other shaped units are available. Custom shapes typically carry a premium, and we confirm each shape carries its own approval.

Pair it with operable units. A common design is a large picture window flanked by casements or single-hungs, giving you both the view and ventilation.
